He may not be a good climber like Naoe but who needs to climb when you can just smash through the door?
The combat of Yasuke is not only about open battles, but he also possesses a skill tree that empowers you of various weapons, such as the yari spear, hence he is considered the top fighter in a war. If you are the kind of player who liked the fast-paced action that you were getting from a game like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, then Yasuke is the one for you. To add on to the excitement, you are not forced to switch back and forth between them. In case you find one character more suitable than the others, you can play through the majority of the game with them. Is that freedom? Yes.
The Open World: Feudal Japan Comes Alive
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is in the open world that is a real inspiration: first of all, it is very realistic. The Sengoku period was a time of bloody civil wars in Japan, and the game gives you a clear image of what it was like. The map of the game is as big as Assassin’s Creed Origins’, but instead of barren deserts, there are smallhamlets, big castles, and peaceful shrines.

Then, as Yasuke, I’m climbing a snowy battlefield, with shards of ice hanging over my head. Spring is the time of year giving an opportunity for lying in high grass and thus inconspicuous to the enemies, while winter provides a way of the lake’s freezing so the players can pass by the lake. It’s not only the things you see—it actually redefines your game. During rain, soldiers are hidden under cover giving you an edge for surprise attacks. Ubi engineers admitted that the idea of such a system belonged to the developer’s team and the result is in front of us.
